Rule: Each person must create two games
What is a "Game"?
A Game is any active activity that you can categorically assign points to. A game does not have to include drinking, but it may. For example a game could be a short (less than 15 minutes) board or card game, a race (physical, drinking, or otherwise) or any feat of strength/intellect/agility/wisdom/luck/etc.
- The combined estimated completion time of both games should be less than 20 minutes.
- Your games can specify a location like a specific bar or park. Locations are limited to areas within Fremont, Ballard, or Greenwood.
- Bring what you need to for your game (either materials or money). I.e. if your game requires a round of drinks - you must pay for the drinks. Alternatively, you may bring all of the required components of your game with you (though please keep these secret).
- Each game can assign 100 points
- Each game can assign 1 Penalty Card.
- Your game can be free for all or team based (3-4 people per team). For teams, points are divided evenly amongst all members of the team with a 1.5x bonus. One person on the team gets the penalty card - you choose how. Team composition will be random (as decided by the gamemaster 6800).
- You are the moderator of your own game. You cannot earn points on your own game. You may participate if appropriate.
- The last 4 games will automatically have a 2x multiplier applied to the game.
How do I "Submit" my game?
Use the
GAMEMASTER4000! New this year: You MUST submit games this way for the
algorithms to work.
Sample Games:
- 3 cup beer pong tournament (Would require a Location tag pointing to someone's house, beer and cups would need to be provided)
- A push up contest (most pushups 50 points, second most 30 points, etc. This would have an "A" tag)
- Cards against Humanity - first to 3 cards. (50 points for winner, 50 points for funniest card as judged by the moderator)
Rule: Gauntlets
On the day of the event, you will be presented with your chosen gauntlet to adorn your neck.
While using your Gauntlet's abilities, you will gain light and dark tokens to track your points.
To Challenge another player: hand over your current total of light and dark tokens to the GAMEMASTER 3500. Next - approach your opponent and throw down your gauntlet to commence the Challenge
Most Challenges award Boon cards. Example Boon card - Steal 30 points from the loser of the challenge.
Challenges and passive abilities cannot interfere with a main game
Extra Rules
An Uber Race
"An Uber Race" occurs when a game with a different location tag is pulled. Random teams of 3-4 players will be posted online by the GAMEMASTER5000. As soon as teams are posted - players must get into teams - call an uber - and get to the next location. Each member of the winning team gets 50 points. If teams arrive at the same time all winning players get 25 points. The player with the most Uber Race wins will hold the "The Uber Race" Medallion.
A Lesser Race
"A Lesser Race" occurs between each game (except during an Uber Race). Move to the next game. No wheels allowed. The first player to arrive receives 30 points. If players arrive at the same time points are evenly split. The player with the most Lesser Race wins will hold the "A Lesser Race" Medallion.
A player may not simultaneously hold both the "An Uber Race" and the "A Lesser Race" medallion. If this occurs, the player must relinquish one of the medallions (their choice).
